Job summary

Park Holidays UK is seeking a Maintenance Operative to keep our holiday park facilities in excellent order. You will perform repairs, routine maintenance, and gardening tasks to ensure a safe, clean environment for guests and staff.

DBS check required, with a 43-hour week and a rewarding team environment. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance across plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general DIY, with a focus on safety, documentation, and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance experience across general trades including plumbing, carpentry and basic electrical repairs.
• Practical DIY skills with hand tools and garden equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance when performing tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work and keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance across the holiday park, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general DIY duties.
• Regularly inspect facilities and equipment to identify issues and ensure safe, operational condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff and resolve issues to maintain high service standards.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work in line with company policies.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations, creating a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Undertake gardening and landscaping tasks, including mowing, weeding, and presenting outdoor areas well.

Overview

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the general upkeep and repair of the holiday park facilities. Your duties will include carrying out routine maintenance, conducting repairs, and ensuring the park's outdoor areas are well-maintained. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for our guests and staff.

Job Duties

• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks across the holiday park, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general DIY duties.
• Regularly inspect facilities and equipment to identify and address potential issues, ensuring they are in safe and operational condition.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from guests and staff, resolving issues to maintain a high standard of service.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work carried out, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure all maintenance work is performed in line with health and safety regulations, creating a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Undertake gardening and landscaping tasks, including mowing lawns, weeding, planting, and ensuring outdoor areas are well-presented and inviting.

Requirements

• Proven experience in general maintenance, including basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Practical skills in DIY, repairs, and maintenance tasks. Experience using hand tools and equipment related to maintenance and gardening.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance while performing maintenance tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work effectively, and keep accurate records of maintenance work.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the needs of the park.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, supporting colleagues across the holiday park.
• This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
