Job Description:
The role entails:
- Responsibility for the day-to-day management of reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Undertake regular building patrols to identify any maintenance requirements and complete all resultant actions in accordance with the core operating procedures.
- Provide specialist support for electrical/plumbing repairs throughout the property.
- Undertake scheduled flat inspections and record them. Complete all resultant actions in a timely manner.
- Record, log, and monitor any maintenance issues that may arise within the property.
- Support in monitoring compliance with Planned and Reactive Maintenance procedures, ensuring buildings are safe for both our Customers and Employees.
- Ensure that compliance tasks are undertaken and recorded.
- Keep maintenance records for all services, including PAT testing and fixed wiring certification.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings.
- Perform other roles within the operations/maintenance of the portfolio as needed.
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- At least 2 years’ domestic electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance experience.
- Previous experience in student accommodation buildings or hotels.
- Intermediate skills in business operating systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong and clear communication skills, both oral and written.
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 in electrical/plumbing maintenance.
- Punctual and reliable.
- A team player with a willingness to support others, trustworthy, and positive attitude.
- Reside within a reasonable travel distance to the property.
- Ability to work weekends and Bank Holidays as per the site rota.
