Job Description:

The role entails:

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management of reactive and preventative maintenance.
  • Undertake regular building patrols to identify any maintenance requirements and complete all resultant actions in accordance with the core operating procedures.
  • Provide specialist support for electrical/plumbing repairs throughout the property.
  • Undertake scheduled flat inspections and record them. Complete all resultant actions in a timely manner.
  • Record, log, and monitor any maintenance issues that may arise within the property.
  • Support in monitoring compliance with Planned and Reactive Maintenance procedures, ensuring buildings are safe for both our Customers and Employees.
  • Ensure that compliance tasks are undertaken and recorded.
  • Keep maintenance records for all services, including PAT testing and fixed wiring certification.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings.
  • Perform other roles within the operations/maintenance of the portfolio as needed.
  • To be considered for this role, you must possess:
    • At least 2 years’ domestic electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance experience.
    • Previous experience in student accommodation buildings or hotels.
    • Intermediate skills in business operating systems, including Microsoft Office.
    • Strong and clear communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in electrical/plumbing maintenance.
    • Punctual and reliable.
    • A team player with a willingness to support others, trustworthy, and positive attitude.
    • Reside within a reasonable travel distance to the property.
    • Ability to work weekends and Bank Holidays as per the site rota.
