The NHS seeks a Maintenance Operative - Fabric in Birmingham to deliver maintenance and repairs across NHS properties. The role offers a competitive salary with requirements including NVQ Level 2 in carpentry and joinery, driving license, and experience in building maintenance.
The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.
Ensure compliance with all processes, procedures, and policies that meet organisational standards, including but not limited to our Health & Safety Policy, HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda), and SFG20. Undertake routine planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Team Leader, including minor works. Perform routine repairs or minor works such as joinery, painting, decoration, general building works, ground works, or plumbing. Maintain effective site log books at NHS premises, ensuring they are completed accurately and promptly.

We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Operative - Fabric based at Birmingham - Aston Pride Community Health Centre. The role offers a starting salary of £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus on-call allowance. This mobile role covers Central Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, and Oldbury. It is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm.
