Job summary

Adecco is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team for a 2 week assignment (3 days per week) across student properties. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance with a focus on plumbing and electrical tasks, delivering work safely and to a high standard.

Candidates must have their own tools and be able to work independently while providing reliable customer service and clear communication with tenants and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Operative, Multi-Skilled Engineer, or similar.
• Strong plumbing maintenance and repair experience.
• Practical electrical maintenance experience with the ability to safely undertake minor electrical works.
• Own set of professional tools suitable for plumbing and electrical maintenance work.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing and electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Diagnose faults and perform remedial works promptly.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures and fittings.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Operative with proven experience in both plumbing and electrical maintenance to join our team for a 2 week assignement - 3 days per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of reactive and planned maintenance tasks across student properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Candidates must possess their own tools and be comfortable working independently while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and installations relating to plumbing and electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and undertake remedial works in a timely manner.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime and prevent future issues.
• Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, pipework, taps, toilets, and related components.
• Carry out minor electrical works including fault finding, replacement of fittings, sockets, switches, and lighting systems.
• Complete basic building maintenance tasks including carpentry, decorating, and general repairs where required.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
• Communicate effectively with tenants, customers, and colleagues.
