Maintenance Operative - Cambridge

Our client, a reputable organisation in the property sector, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative to join their team in Cambridge. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive in hands‑on environments and possess a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (DOE)

Hours: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM, Monday to Friday (1 in 5 Saturdays)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide maintenance and repairs to accommodation while managing front service desk inquiries.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including: Refreshing paintwork, Performing room checkouts, General joinery tasks such as checking doors and hinges, Cleaning and inspecting shower heads, Addressing general room maintenance needs.
• Undertake regular building patrols to identify maintenance requirements and Health & Safety risks.
• Execute silicone sealing and diagnose bathroom issues effectively.

What's Required:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Previous experience in Carpentry or Plumbing.
• A solid background in using a variety of maintenance tools.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practises to ensure a safe working environment.
