3 x Maintenance Operatives – Urgently Required!

£14.00 per hour plus accrued holiday pay


Location: York

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 7:45am–4:30pm | Friday: 7:45am–3:30pm

Are you a hands-on, skilled individual with experience in Maintenance or Construction?


We’re urgently looking for 3 reliable and enthusiastic Maintenance Operatives to join our dynamic team and play a key role in the refurbishment and fit-out of modular buildings (Portacabins). Whether you’ve worked in modular construction before or bring general maintenance skills, we want to hear from you! THis position will lead to a permanent position after a sucessful trial period.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Refurbishing and fitting out modular buildings to high standards

Working on both new and used Portacabins in a busy production environment

Stripping out and cleaning returned units

Painting and decorating – internal and external

Basic joinery – installing partition walls, doors, and windows

Plumbing – sinks, toilets, copper and push-fit fittings

Assisting with electrics – sockets, heaters, lighting (under supervision of an electrician)

General site-based and off-site fit-outs and refurbishments

Installing and dismantling buildings

Maintaining tools and reporting any damage

Full Support and Training:

Full induction and training provided

You’ll be paired with an experienced team member for on-the-job support

Opportunities for ongoing training and upskilling

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or handyman work

Basic joinery and construction skills

Modular/offsite experience is a bonus but not essential

A proactive and reliable team player
