Job summary

Jimmy's Cambridge is seeking a Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep of hostels and move-on accommodation across multiple sites. You will perform decorating, basic carpentry, plumbing repairs, and inspections while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

The role requires experience in maintenance or similar roles, a full UK driving license, and the ability to work independently across locations. DBS check will be conducted; closing date is 11 November at 12pm.

Salary: £33,000 per annum
Reports to: Operations Manager

We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team, supporting the upkeep and maintenance of our hostels and move-on accommodation. Working across multiple sites, you will carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks including decorating, basic carpentry, plumbing repairs, property inspections, grounds maintenance, and health and safety checks.

The successful candidate will have experience in a maintenance, facilities, caretaker, or handyman role, with the ability to work independently, prioritise workloads effectively, and maintain high property standards. A good understanding of health and safety, strong problem-solving skills, and a full UK driving license are essential.
