Our Maintenance Operatives are critical for ensuring the smooth running of operational building facilities. This is a customer-facing environment where you will be responsible for maintaining Vita’s highest building standards.

Our Maintenance Operatives
  • Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing guest and staff reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for fire alarm and firefighting systems.
  • Understand plant room functions such as diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing central systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and perform scheduled maintenance tasks (PPM).
  • Perform general repairs like fixing minor issues such as leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, malfunctioning appliances, damaged doors, and wall repairs.
  • Carry out basic carpentry and painting, including tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture, and touch-up painting & decorating.
  • Manage stock, keeping track of maintenance supplies and parts needed for repairs.
  • Ensure safety compliance by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures during maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain outdoor areas such as grass-cutting & hedge-trimming/shaping.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping, front desk, and management, to coordinate maintenance needs and guest requests.

Professional Experience
  • Experience in preventive and corrective fire alarm and firefighting system maintenance.
  • Familiarity with plant room operations.
  • Skilled in various maintenance functions including plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and general equipment.
  • Experience in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Understanding of safety compliance regulations.
  • Stock management experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in maintaining external ground works.
  • IT literacy.

  • Excellent communication skills; multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and leadership qualities, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
