Overview

Maintenance operative – Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

Double day shift pattern – due to working hours own transport is essential

Salary: c£31,300 plus excellent large company benefits

Initially commencing on a temporary contract but after just 12 weeks trial period you have the opportunity to secure a permanent contract subject to satisfactory performance.

We are currently recruiting for a leading Mansfield manufacturing company; due to ongoing expansion they need a maintenance operative to support their busy machine shop.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring the Machine Shop is clean and tidy, by conducting daily tasks set by Machine Shop Maintenance Leader
  • Your daily tasks will include ensuring the machine swarf bins are emptied, topping up and maintaining machinery oil and coolant levels
  • Assist in the routine services of machines when required
  • To carry out routine housekeeping
  • To pick up and drop off tooling and equipment to local subcontractors
  • To run CNC Machines if needed
  • Assist in Ancillary departments when needed
  • Any other duties and ad hoc project work as and when required
Experience / Qualifications
  • Must have basic engineering experience or be a part qualified engineer
