The Triangle Care Home is a small and friendly purpose-built nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment with 24-hour care and support for older adults.

We are seeking an experienced maintenance operative to join our team!

Responsibilities

1. Maintaining the building and equipment
2. Carrying out routine checks weekly, monthly, and annually on systems in the home, ensuring external checks are completed within the agreed timeframe (e.g., LOLER testing)
3. Monitoring and responding to fire alarms, boilers, and lifts
4. Using resources effectively and efficiently for maintenance or repairs
5. Conducting banking and purchasing small items for the home
6. Maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety, including decoration, minor plumbing, and garden maintenance
7. Maintaining good communication and relationships with other teams and colleagues
8. Being aware of and adhering to the home's policies and procedures, especially fire safety
9. Participating in training and development programs
10. Training new staff on building layout, fire policies, and procedures during induction
11. Maintaining client and business confidentiality at all times
12. Controlling and ordering stock, checking deliveries
13. Being aware of health and safety requirements
14. Communicating effectively within teams, with colleagues, and residents
15. Performing any additional duties as requested
16. Undertaking further training to enhance contribution to the home
17. Reviewing and updating the job description regularly
