Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join a friendly team working from our Exeter office on a permanent basis. The post involves multi-trade repairs and maintenance to new homes housing developments, providing excellent customer service at all times. Duties include:

  1. Carrying out general maintenance and repairs to new build properties, including carpentry, preparation, making good, and other internal and external works as instructed by the Customer Services Manager.
  2. Maintaining accurate records of time, scope of works, materials, and equipment used for each project.
  3. Ensuring all works are undertaken safely, in accordance with good practice and legislation.
  4. Requesting necessary materials and planning work to ensure effective completion, minimizing waste.
  5. Liaising with customers, informing them about the nature and duration of works, scheduling appointments, and ensuring they are kept.
  6. Carrying out work courteously and professionally, promoting the reputation of the organization.
  7. Providing a customer-focused service at all times.
  8. Communicating effectively and working productively with colleagues.
  9. Undertaking other tasks as reasonably requested by the Customer Services Manager.
  10. Observing and complying with health and safety policies and procedures.
