Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a reliable Maintenance Operative for its Coventry team. The role covers general maintenance across the building, ensuring safety, functionality, and presentability.

25–35 hours per week with a pay rate of £15.00–£16.00 per hour depending on experience. The ideal candidate will carry out repairs, basic plumbing, light electrical tasks where appropriate, and coordinate with external contractors for specialised work, all while upholding health and safety

Qualifications

• Reliable and hands-on maintenance experience.
• Able to perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks when needed.
• Willingness to undertake general building tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general building maintenance and repairs.
• Undertake basic plumbing tasks such as replacing taps, fixing leaks, and unblocking sinks.
• Assemble and install flat-pack furniture.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance requirements.
• Perform minor decorating and handyman duties as required.
• Replace light fittings, bulbs, and carry out basic electrical maintenance where appropriate.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
• Liaise with external contractors when specialist repairs are required.
