Job description

Working in a mobile role, as Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining multiple hospital/healthcare sites in Bristol and the surrounding area.

The role is varied, involving responsive/reactive repairs in a 'multi-trade' capacity, including lamp changes, plumbing works, changing taps, fitting washers, and general fabric repairs.

Additionally, you will perform planned, preventative maintenance (PPMs), such as water temperature checks and emergency light inspections.

There will also be planned upgrade works and refurbishment activities to ensure a safe environment for service users.

Normal working hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. An on-call rota is also in place, providing opportunities for increased earnings through urgent repairs.

Previous experience in building maintenance is essential, preferably within the NHS or for a contractor servicing NHS facilities. Alternatively, experience in commercial maintenance (hotels, schools, supermarkets) is acceptable.

A recognised NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in plumbing or another building trade is desirable.

Solid health and safety awareness, experience with handheld devices (PDA), and good IT skills are required.

A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points is necessary.

We offer an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team in Bristol.
