Serco is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative to manage repairs and ensure high standards of maintenance across properties. Here at Serco, we work with Asylum Accommodation and Support Services to assist individuals through the asylum system, including providing temporary accommodation.
As a Maintenance Operative, your role is key in ensuring all requested repairs—reactive, proactive, or pre-planned (via manager)—are carried out to the required standard and within SLA deadlines.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with previous maintenance experience in fields such as joinery, kitchen fitting, bath fitting, plumbing, painting & decorating, etc. You should be highly motivated, capable of managing your own workflow, and able to work effectively within a team when necessary.
Responsibilities include ensuring Health & Safety of yourself and all users of the property during and after work completion.
You will be required to purchase and manage materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers only. Company-provided vehicles will be inspected regularly and maintained in a professional, clean condition.
Flexible Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day, between 08:00 and 18:00, to meet operational needs.
On-Call and Out-of-Hours Work
There will be a requirement to undertake out-of-hours on-call duties on a rota basis to ensure 24/7 emergency coverage, as per contractual responsibilities.
