Position: Maintenance Operative

Salary: 30,000 - depending on experience

Location: Essex

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:00 - Early finish Friday

Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to begin work for a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Essex. This is a permanent position and an exciting role working for a market leader within the automated machinery and pharmaceutical industry, offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

This person needs to possess a can-do attitude towards the role. The position requires good attention to detail and collaboration with team members to meet company requirements.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Perform daily maintenance tasks around the workspaces.
• Assist with scheduled cleaning, repair, and maintenance.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Organise areas to facilitate efficient task completion.
• Support stock management and inventory checks to ensure supplies are available.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs on property fixtures, fittings, and grounds.
• Carry out minor painting, decorating, plumbing, electrical works, and furniture assembly as needed.
• Engage in routine landscaping, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and leaf clearing.
• Supervise maintenance contractors when on-site.
• Deliver and collect parcels and equipment between sites.
• Undertake any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
