I have been instructed to work on a Maintenance role that provides a clear path for progression. Founded in this Student accommodation company are on a serious growth path and are looking to add to their fantastic team. With plans to double in size, this is a real exciting time to join this company with a great progression pathway.

The Role:
  • Manage day-to-day reactive and preventative maintenance.
  • Identify and rectify maintenance issues, such as unblocking sinks and showers, and repairing damaged paintwork.
  • Ensure a secure, comfortable, and safe environment, taking pride in the property's appearance.
  • Conduct checks and building walks, logging observations on an iPad.
  • Inspect communal areas, plant rooms, corridors, and residents' rooms, recording and completing any follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with Customer and Night Teams to achieve the best results and solutions for residents, 24/7.
  • Respect residents' privacy and personal information, with training provided on GDPR.
  • Learn and adhere to processes to ensure the safety of residents and colleagues.
Being Part of the Team
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to ensure maintenance records and property documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Participate actively in monthly team meetings, making constructive contributions.
  • Support the onboarding of new colleagues by answering questions and sharing knowledge.
  • Undertake specific training to enhance skills, including training on bespoke IT resident reporting systems and processes.
  • Handle issues or incidents and call emergency services when needed.
  • Assist on-site contractors to ensure work completion and maintain health and safety procedures.
  • Prioritize Health & Safety and Fire Safety, reporting any unsafe conditions.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in Facilities/Estates/Maintenance with a proven track record of maintaining assets to a high standard.
  • Ability to help residents have the best experience.
  • Sensible and calm under pressure with a positive attitude.
  • Welcoming to visitors and contractors.
  • Good common sense and problem-solving skills.
  • Pride in appearance and communication.
  • Ability to organize and complete tasks within set time frames.
  • Excellent time-keeping and flexibility.
  • Experience with large plants, BMS systems, or mobilizing/opening new buildings is advantageous.
