Reporting to the Maintenance Officer, the maintenance team ensures a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs effectively.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure the home and grounds are kept in good repair and residents have access to all appropriate areas
• Maintain compliance with Health and Safety legislation, including reporting H&S incidents
• Perform day-to-day repairs and some refurbishment activities to uphold standards in the care home
• Engage with staff, relatives, families, and residents as part of the care home team
• Carry out regular safety checks and servicing on all equipment, maintaining accurate records
• Communicate effectively with the Home Manager and residents

• Proven experience in maintenance and repair work
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Awareness of Health and Safety procedures
