Job description

Location:35 Bothwell Road,Uddingston,South Lanarkshire,G71 7HA

Located within the picturesque and historic area of South Lanarkshire, our care home is a private, luxurious care facility that offers Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 75 residents.

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Maintenance Officer to help us maintain a safe, welcoming and well-kept environment. If you are hands-on, take pride in your work and enjoy the variety of day-to-day repairs and upkeep, this role could be a perfect fit.

What We Offer

  • £13.10 per hour
  • Contracted to 24 hours per week

What You Will Do
As Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the building, equipment and grounds are kept in excellent working order. From repairing fixtures and fittings to carrying out planned maintenance and supporting refurbishment projects, your role is essential to the smooth running of the home. You will regularly inspect fire safety systems, address minor electrical or plumbing issues, and respond to any urgent repairs to keep the environment safe and comfortable. You will take care of outdoor areas and help maintain high standards throughout the premises. You will also liaise with external contractors when needed and work closely with the home manager or facilities lead to ensure all work meets compliance and safety requirements. Some evening and weekend flexibility may be required, along with being on-call for emergencies.
