Maintenance Officer

Peace Recruitment are looking for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Officer to carry out a mix of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across our housing stock. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. The role will be for an initial 3 months but likely to be extended.

You'll work closely with our housing team and tenants to ensure our properties are maintained to a high standard, carrying out inspections, organising repairs, and liaising with contractors when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out regular property inspections and identify necessary works
2. Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues promptly
3. Support planned maintenance programmes and project delivery
4. Coordinate with contractors and ensure works are completed to specification
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
6. Provide excellent customer service to tenants and other stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

1. Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field
2. Good understanding of building maintenance and repair procedures
3. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
4. Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
5. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use is essential
