Job summary

Advinia Healthcare is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to help us keep our care homes safe, clean, and well maintained. You will support the Maintenance Manager, perform essential safety checks, handle basic plumbing and electrical tasks, and help with general cleaning and furniture assembly.

The role emphasizes strong communication with Managers, Residents and staff, on-call duties, and a commitment to resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and facilities maintenance across electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Ability to perform regular safety checks and keep accurate records.
• Excellent communication with managers, staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to keep residents’ environment safe and well maintained.
• Carry out regular safety checks and servicing on equipment; maintain records.
• Communicate effectively with Home Manager, colleagues and residents.

Your role will include:

• Working closely with the Maintenance Manager or nominated colleagueto make sure that our residents live in a place that is safe and well maintained at all times
• Ensuring that regular safety checks and servicing is carried out on all equipment and accurate records are kept.
• Having excellent communication with the Home Manager and also the Residents
• Basic plumbing and electrical maintenance
• Clearing and Cleaning general areas
• Assembling furniture
• Painting and decorating

This position will require on call duties

You must have excellent communication skills with Manager's, Colleagues, Residents and Visitors to the Home.
