Job summary

CNH Industrial in the United Kingdom is offering a Mechanical Apprentice position at Basildon to learn and apply mechanical engineering principles within our maintenance and production teams. Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of mechanical equipment and production machinery.
• Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities to minimise equipment downtime.
• Help diagnose mechanical faults and assist with repairs under supervision.
• Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Assist in assembling, dismantling, and testing mechanical components and systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with 5S standards.
• Follow all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times.
• Participate fully in apprenticeship training, attending college or external training providers as required.
• Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
