Loparex - Malvern, PA., a growing international manufacturer of high-grade specialty films used in industrial & construction applications, seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic- Machinist for a full-time position to perform equipment maintenance, adjustments, troubleshooting, repairs & installations for our blown film manufacturing facility in Malvern, PA

Must be able to work 24/7 rotating shifts, working 2 weeks of days & 2 weeks of night shifts, including working 2 weekends per month. Overtime availability.

Position Summary:

  • Understand and follow all applicable safety and environmental requirements.
  • Understand and follow parameters on work order, schedules and special instructions.
  • Perform bench and manufacturing floor work as assigned. Work from prints, sketches and samples to layout and machine new and replacement parts and install ancillary equipment.
  • Trouble shoot, devise solutions for and repair mechanical malfunctions as directed.
  • Maintain, repair and adjust plant equipment to support continuous operation.
  • Perform regular Preventive Maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Provide documentation of completed repair work as directed.
  • Keep working area and Maintenance shop clean, orderly and safe.
  • Assist other Maintenance Classification personnel as necessary to support plant operations.
  • It is understood that this list of responsibilities is not all encompassing and that we are all expected to perform all other duties that may be assigned.
  • Adheres to ISO procedures in conformance with quality systems and standards
  • Other duties and special projects assigned by manager.

Requirements:

  • Must have demonstrable skills & knowledge of maintenance and repair of hydraulics, pneumatics, pipefitting, soldering, welding, carpentry, plumbing, boilers, pumps, compressors and basic electricity. Ability to machine and assemble parts from prints, sketches and samples to reasonable tolerances.
  • A minimum of 5 years successful experience on machine shop equipment, including: lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hand tools in manufacturing or related environment.
  • Ability to machine and assemble parts from prints, sketches and samples to reasonable tolerances.
  • Necessary education and experience to follow Manufacturer's Service instructions and diagrams or prints.
  • Capable of welding and fabricating.
  • A consistent track record of satisfactory attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to work 24/7 rotating shifts, working 2 weeks of days & 2 weeks of night shifts, including working 2 weekends per month. Overtime availability.
  • Available for necessary overtime work and emergency call-in.
  • Effective in working within a team environment & with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and able to learn and implement new procedures.
  • Able to lift at least a 50-pound load; able to climb stairs, reach, bend and push-pull
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, tools & gauges; welding & fabricating equipment
  • Able to satisfactorily understand prints, sketches and diagrams.
  • Possess or able to acquire tow motor operator's license within 30 days after being hired.
  • Able to effectively work with computers to input and retrieve data and use applicable software.
