Job Description
Performs electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs. Coordinates with and directs contractors and vendors performing facility and equipment maintenance. Implements preventive maintenance programs.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. Maintains all equipment maintenance and repair records utilizing a CMMS. Follows a prepared schedule, lubricates machines and equipment using specified lubricants.
Operates common hand and power tools, such as hand drills, saws, hammers, pliers, wire cutters, and wrenches. Complies with all safety regulations and procedures and maintains a clean and orderly work area. Works from ladders and scissor lifts as required.
Leads in the installation of testing and machine equipment. Changes coolants, soluble oils, filters, and cleaning components of machines as scheduled or as required by supervisors. Maintains and repairs high-pressure pumps, valves, and gauges.
Assists other maintenance personnel with tasks such as cleaning components of machines as scheduled or as required by supervisors. Maintains the main and satellite hazardous waste collection areas. Supports safety teams, including Confined Space, Hazmat, Crane/Hoist, High-Pressure Testing, Hot Work Permitting, forklift, and lock-out/tag-out processes.
Ability to utilize basic hand tools and electrical testing equipment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, reading and interpreting blueprints, and tape measures. A vocational degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
Ability to work in confined spaces. OSHA or NFPA 70E safety training or experience is required. 4+ years of experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting equipment. Ability to operate hand tools safely.
