Job Description

Summary:

Supports maintenance department in all areas as needed with a focus on preventative maintenance duties on the production floor. Under general supervision, manages maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and servicing of all machinery and equipment.

Essential functions:

  1. Assists PM Lead in preventative maintenance of assigned functions.
  2. Has the primary responsibility of the PMs on the entire fleet of Injection Molding Machines and Molding Support according to the schedule.
    1. (Molding Machine) Filters, Grease, Breathers, Servos, Electrical panels, etc.
    2. (Supporting Equipment) Conveyors, Grinders, etc.
    3. Responsible for record keeping of all PMs performed daily.
  3. Provides general support to the Maintenance Department.
  4. Handles general repairs including:
    1. Mechanical
    2. Basic electrical
    3. Minor plumbing
    4. Welding skills are a plus
  5. Handles 110, 120, 280, and 480 Volt AC systems.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned by immediate management.
  7. Performs hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
  8. Repairs molding machines, supporting equipment, and facility.
  9. Installs new assets, including electric, plumbing, and mechanical systems, along with building and auxiliary equipment repairs.
  10. Completes preventative maintenance of assigned functions.
  11. Maintains assembly production equipment daily to ensure optimal performance.
  12. Trains, instructs, and audits operators on proper machine operation based on Standard Work Procedures.
  13. Communicates real-time status of assembly operations with the Team Leader throughout the shift.
  14. Records all tasks and issues during shift on production reports via log books and IQMS reports.
  15. Maintains machines and equipment in optimum condition.
  16. Makes routine machine adjustments and repairs to ensure continuous production.
  17. Knows how to operate all machines and equipment to understand their functions and repair needs.
  18. Identifies different styles of caps, jars, and their codes (e.g., S, RS, RM, RMX).
  19. Performs tooling changes (size) within a reasonable timeframe.
  20. Other duties as assigned by immediate management.

Position requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent; Hydraulic & electrical trade school preferred.
  • 5+ years of electrical/mechanical experience.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime as needed, and participate in On-Call System.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new techniques and concepts.
  • Ability to work under pressure, follow safety protocols, and adhere to detailed instructions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally or frequently.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with electric and hydraulic schematics and troubleshooting abilities.

Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
