Job Description Overview

There are various roles within the maintenance department. The main objective is to maintain the plant in excellent running condition to prevent any downtime. Employees are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights, moving mechanical parts, and a fast-paced warm/cool environment. The role requires working with chemicals and solvents and the ability to operate moving vehicles. Positions involve standing or walking throughout the shift, using stairs, and wearing PPE in all facility areas. (This list is not exhaustive.)

Responsibilities

1. Operate heavy machinery as needed.
2. Use a variety of tools to repair, retrieve, and maintain equipment.
3. Set up work areas daily and troubleshoot issues.
4. Work around machinery and power sources such as electricity.
5. Ensure safety, food safety, and quality standards are met.
6. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
7. Maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance-related subjects.
• Willingness to participate in teams such as HAZMAT.
• Ability to work rotating days and weekends.
• Ability to work B or C shift.
