Job summary

RIU Plaza London Victoria is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee hotel infrastructure, guest rooms, and public areas, ensuring safety, regulatory and brand standards are met. Lead a dedicated engineering team, plan preventive maintenance, and coordinate with external contractors for seamless guest experiences.

You will manage budgeting for the engineering department, drive energy conservation, and collaborate with other departments to support a premium guest journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management within a hospitality setting is essential.
• Solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation and fire safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (electrical, plumbing, or general engineering) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering team to ensure efficient operation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for repairs.
• Manage the engineering department budget and optimize resource use.
• Implement energy conservation measures and sustainability practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to support guest experience needs.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and warranties.
• Supervise fire safety and emergency response drills.
