Job summary

Novotel London Wembley is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a busy in-house team and safeguard guest comfort through exceptional facility management. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and building systems, while driving safety, quality and sustainability across the hotel.

• Manage all hotel facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building systems.
• Deliver a proactive preventative maintenance programme to maximise asset performance and minimise downtime.
• Oversee contractors, compliance inspections, and statutory testing.
• Manage departmental budgets, maintenance projects, and procurement activities.
• Champion Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Security, and environmental compliance across the hotel.
• Drive sustainability initiatives and support the achievement of environmental targets.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure the hotel remains safe, functional, and guest-ready at all times.
• Participate as a member of the hotel's leadership team, including Duty Manager responsibilities when required.

This position is in charge of the Security, Health & Safety and Fire Safety of the hotel. They need to be the driving force behind the hotel’s sustainability targets and objectives.

Qualifications

About You

• Minimum A-Level, Level 3 Technical Qualification, or equivalent standard of education.
• Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager, Chief Engineer, or similar role within hospitality.
• Strong technical knowledge of building services, M&E systems, and hotel operations.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and compliance requirements.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with a passion for operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
