Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Manager (Mechanical)
Location: West Bromwich
Salary: 60,000 - 64,000 (Days Only)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of mechanical systems in our West Bromwich facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability.
  2. Lead mechanical project engineering efforts, driving improvements and overseeing the execution of projects within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  3. Implement and manage Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track and optimize maintenance schedules, work orders, and resource allocation.
  4. Foster a culture of safety, ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations, and that the team adheres to all legal and company procedures.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including production and engineering, to resolve issues, improve processes, and support operational goals.
  6. Liaise with external suppliers, contractors, and agencies such as the HSE and insurance inspectors to maintain equipment standards and meet regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experience:

  1. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  2. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with CMMS and other maintenance management tools.
  3. Extensive experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  4. In-depth knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
