Overview

The role of Maintenance Manager will be based at our Mayfield village in Watford. Mayfield Watford is part of a buzzing residential neighbourhood which includes facilities such as a shop, Bar and bistro, leisure club and a beautiful riverside park.

Mayfield villages comprises of owners, who permanently reside on site within their own private homes and who pay a management fee for the upkeep of their properties and access to services on site. In addition the village hosts external customers and this role is responsible for providing a first class, positive experience for all.

As our Maintenance Manager you will be responsible to provide a safe and efficient working and living environment, which is essential to the performance of the village and the lifestyle of our owners. Our owner’s quality of life and care depend upon the safe and exceptional standard of the facilities we provide, as well as the facilities within their home.

You will be responsible for providing first-class facilities for owners, a first-class village environment for all users, and building an exceptional team of maintenance operatives, ensuring that they and their work are meeting the standards required by the owners on our sites and the business.

Ideal Candidate
  • Qualification within health and safety working practices – NEBOSH, IOSH preferably.
  • SSSTS certificate preferably.
  • Maintenance planning and project management.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety working practices, COSHH, RIDDOR, etc.
  • Good all-round technical knowledge of general trades and labour.
  • Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Experience of leading / managing a small team.
  • Pool plant operator’s license.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Warm, professional and empathetic.
