Our client, based in Teesside, has an opening for a Maintenance Manager to cover 2 sites within Teesside.
Hours of work would be Monday to Friday, 08.00am - 4.00pm.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day oversight of maintenance staff, planning and executing all maintenance activities associated with the safe and efficient running of the sites.
- Responsible for preparing a rolling weekly and monthly lookahead for planned/unplanned works.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians across multiple sites.
- Ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all equipment and facilities.
- Responsible for scheduling work, supervising technicians and ensuring methods are appropriate and risks assessed and suitably controlled.
- Ensuring compliance with all legislative, industry and site regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and company policy/procedures/work instructions.
- Prepare and execute an effective preventive and corrective maintenance programme fully utilising the CMMS.
- Ensure condition monitoring programmes are executed and reported to support equipment replacement plans and optimise maintenance frequency periods.
- Develop and manage a preventive maintenance schedule to minimise downtime.
- Ensure adequate internal and external resourcing to deliver maintenance activities.
- Ensure timeliness of permit requests and outage requests submitted to the operations/planning team.
- Minimise the backlog of unplanned and planned works and ensuring any overdue tasks are risk assessed with appropriate controls implemented to reduce risk to tolerable or ALARP.
- Develop a highly multi-skilled and motivated team through mentoring and training.
- Ensure appropriate procurement and management of spares, consumables and critical spares.
- Act as Contract Owner for local maintenance contracts.
- Monthly reporting on Maintenance and Integrity KPIs and reporting on M&R Opex Actuals/Forecast for the region.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
- NEBOSH qualification in health and safety or equivalent.
- Experience leading Engineering / Maintenance teams on Oil/Chemical Terminals or COMAH sites.
- Multi-disciplinary maintenance management including electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Effective analysis and utilisation of data to identify trends and inform decision making.
- Management of CMMS.
- Budgeting/budget management.
- Working knowledge of COMAH, Confined Space Regs, LOLER, WAH, COSHH, CDM, DSEAR/ATEX, PUWER, PED and PSSR.
