Our Hastings site is constantly growing, providing many opportunities to make a difference within and beyond the scope of the Maintenance Manager role.
The Maintenance Team performs repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure a longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Each team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area, as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. In your role, you will oversee a team of up to 6 direct and 7 indirect reports responsible for maintenance and facilities.

Take responsibility for the maintenance and facilities department at the Hastings site. This includes maintenance engineers (working shifts), facilities, canteen, and reception staff.
Responsibilities include:

  • Implement and maintain robust TPM procedures across critical and constrained equipment on site
  • Manage the delivery of maintenance activities in response to unexpected events (breakdowns, faults, etc.) to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, monitor purchase orders and invoice approvals, and manage the department budget

Facilities (including canteen and reception):

  • Ensure safety and security are maintained across the site
  • Lead site improvement initiatives to upgrade facilities
  • Implement energy reduction and sustainability improvements
  • Support site events, both on and off-site, ensuring safety and engagement
  • Manage, maintain, and establish maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to meet or exceed production goals

Other duties include:

  • Providing training and continuous development for maintenance and facilities personnel
  • Coordinating work with outside inspections, managing projects, ensuring personnel safety, and other duties as required
  • Owning and maintaining Crisis Management and Business Continuity plans with support from the site management team
Candidate requirements:
  • At least 5-6 years of experience in an international industrial company
  • Team management experience required
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Experience implementing and managing Total Productive Maintenance systems
  • Experience with Business Continuity and Crisis Management planning
  • Project management experience, especially with infrastructure projects

Additional skills:

Motivating others, building effective teams, managing and measuring work, strategy, execution, and talent development (for managers).
