Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and improvements on the fabric of the building, its services, and grounds to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Managing maintenance budgets accordingly.
  • Planning and supervising maintenance activities throughout the home.
  • Reporting and addressing defects in appliances, damaged furniture/equipment, and potential hazards to the Property Manager.
  • Maintaining the interior and exterior of the Home, including sheds, outbuildings, waste areas, snow clearance, gardening, signage, lighting, plumbing, electrical work, and general cleaning.
  • Assembling furniture and carrying out decoration as needed.
  • Testing fire alarm systems weekly, checking fire exits, call points, emergency lighting, and fire safety equipment.
  • Ensuring ventilation units and lights are clean and functioning; replacing bulbs/diffusers as needed.
  • Testing portable appliances and water temperatures for Legionella control.
  • Maintaining a Maintenance Book for recording defects and repairs.
  • Assisting with deliveries and monitoring incoming goods.
  • Creating and maintaining an inventory of furniture, fittings, and equipment.
  • Performing any other reasonable tasks assigned.
