Qualifications

Job Description

At the Ibis Rotherham, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Management Team. The Maintenance Manager will contribute to the goals and values of the Rotherham team by supporting the General Manager and by being responsible for looking after the proactive and reactive maintenance of the Hotel, along with any maintenance related projects.

It\'s an exciting time to join as we are refurbishing the hotel, Top to Bottom.

Key responsibilities
  • To take accountability for the entire maintenance operation of the hotel
  • To ensure that the Hotel Bedrooms are maintained to Brand standards
  • Undertaking and managing preventative maintenance schedules
  • Health & safety compliance to brand standards
  • To liaise and supervise Sub-Contractors on site
  • To have a full understanding of all hotel systems and be able to respond to any problems. Managing the maintenance of the physical plant, all electrical equipment, kitchen equipment, controls, fire safety systems and the interior and exterior of the hotel
  • To maintain all maintenance stocks on a regular basis, ordering appropriate stocks when necessary, using the correct ordering systems
  • To ensure all maintenance equipment is checked on a regular basis.

The Hotel is located just outside Rotherham City with easy access from the main road.

What Are We Looking For?

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Proven experience as Maintenance Manager in a similar role which is likely to be hotel or other similar residential property
  • Experience in dealing with 3rd party contractors and sourcing competitive quotes for outsourced work/projects
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety and Fire Regulations
  • A skill-based qualification in Plumbing or Electrical works
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of basic maintenance repairs.
  • Good proven organisation and planning skills gained through previous experience
  • Basic knowledge of Guest line management system and Health and safety system. Good literacy and numeracy skills
