The Role

As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the maintenance of plant and systems, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation. You will directly manage Front Line Leaders (FLLs) and industrial staff involved in operations and maintenance activities.

1. Ensure timely and safe release and re-acceptance of plant and equipment for repair and maintenance, including during the absence of the Senior Radioactive Waste Engineer.
2. Provide technical information and prepare concessions and change requests supporting maintenance activities.
3. Report and investigate incidents and occurrences within the facility following company procedures.
4. Advise on operation and maintenance of plant and services on licensed and authorized sites.
5. Conduct risk assessments for radioactive waste operations and maintenance.

Essential Experience

• In-depth knowledge and experience leading site operational control teams for plant maintenance.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, documentation control, works order management, and contractor supervision.
• Understanding and experience working within a regulated environment.
• Desirable: Technical operations related to nuclear/radiological activities.
• Desirable: Maintenance of facilities and equipment supporting nuclear and non-nuclear industrial activities.
• Desirable: Industrial operations on regulated/licensed sites.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent engineering experience.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national eligible for Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance. Many roles are subject to national security and trade restrictions, which may affect eligibility based on nationality, birthplace, or residency.
