Annual salary - £30,000 to £33,000 per annum

  • Responsible for implementing best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance, focusing on sustainable maintenance and energy consumption reduction strategies.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, reviewing and communicating their impact on maintenance activities.
  • Cover shifts as required, including duty manager duties.
  • Set and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure quality of FF&E and plant equipment.
  • Control invoices and manage external providers’ costs.
  • Collaborate with GMs to develop maintenance budgets and ensure hotel compliance.
  • Complete and record monthly energy reports.

COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies to safeguard staff and guests.
  • Inspect works to ensure compliance with standards and performance targets, taking corrective actions as directed.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks within hotel responsibilities.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate projects and maintenance work, including budgeting.
  • Produce reports and analysis to keep management informed of project progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Deliver small-scale projects (P&L), including lifecycle works, ensuring quality and timely risk management.

RECRUITMENT & PERSONNEL

  • Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance team members.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing, autonomous team.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the team.
  • Allocate human resources effectively across the cluster.
  • Set objectives/KPIs, review performance, and report on target achievements.
  • Ensure delivery of the People Strategy within the area of accountability.
  • Conduct departmental performance reviews.

Full-time position (39 hours/week)

Annual salary - £30,000 to £33,000

This role involves responsibilities in maintenance strategy, compliance, project management, and team leadership, with a minimum of 2 years maintenance experience and preferably managerial experience. Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems is desirable.
