Hybrid working, from our office in Maryport, from home, and leading our teams across the North Lakes, Cumbria.

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Salary c£55,000 per annum plus great benefits including health cash plan.

You'll lead and schedule our programmes of work, managing our in-house teams as well as contractors to deliver high quality and compliant homes for our customers, fulfilling our customer promise. Key priorities as Maintenance Manager – Gas and Electrical Compliance
  1. Developing and leading our Gas and Electrical teams to deliver right first-time, high-quality servicing, repairs, and installations on our properties (responsive and voids).
  2. Managing teams, subcontractor, and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, KPIs, and delivering commercially driven services.
  3. As responsible person, ensuring duty holders fulfill their duties with Gas Safe and Electrical registrations and legislation.
  4. Providing accurate forecasting and budgetary control to ensure your team is working cost-effectively and understands how they deliver value for money services.
  5. Data management, reporting, and using your creative spark (alongside your team) to drive service innovation and continuous improvement.

You have
  1. Extensive experience in both gas and electrical compliance within a housing and maintenance environment.
  2. Experience of managing programmes of work on track, on time, and within budget through excellent collaboration and communication. You can interpret and challenge contracts, use data and insights to identify trends and improve performance.
  3. Operational experience in managing internal teams and subcontractors.
  4. A relevant qualification in an electrical or gas discipline, with in-depth knowledge of gas and electrical safety and compliance works. Additionally, a Health and Safety qualification with experience managing health and safety for teams and subcontractors, including CDM regulations and all compliance regulations related to gas and electrical activities.
  5. A track record of maintaining budgets, analyzing trends, providing value for money, and demonstrating commercial acumen.

Job details
  1. Full time, 37.5 hpw Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours (we’re open to discussing a work pattern).
  2. Hybrid working, from home and our office in Maryport, supporting teams across Copeland and Allendale.
  3. Use technology for monitoring work progress, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance records. You’ll be provided a Surface Pro and mobile device.
  4. A full current driving license and access to your own vehicle. Mileage paid.
  5. Basic DBS check, paid for by us.
