About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager at our Leicester plant. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a skilled team in a dynamic production environment, ensuring our equipment and facilities operate at peak performance.

What is involved
  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across all production equipment, including print, cutting/ bottling/ finishing and plant equipment.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with production, research & development, and quality teams to support operational goals.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe and legally compliant working environment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a Maintenance or Engineering role.
  • Strong engineering knowledge/qualifications, including mechanical, electrical, or control systems, with solid experience working with PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Ideally qualified to HNC level or higher in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls & Instrumentation.
  • Ideally holds a formal health and safety qualification, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
  • Experience managing external contractors and service providers.
  • Proficient in using IT systems.
  • Knowledge of steam boiler systems and associated safety and maintenance requirements.
  • Understanding of environmental permits, health & safety legislation, and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling maintenance-related costs.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards and regulatory compliance.
