- Responsible for the implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance, particularly in sustainable maintenance and energy reduction strategies.
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, reviewing and communicating their impact on maintenance activities.
- Cover shifts as required, including duty manager duties.
- Set and implement preventative maintenance programmes to ensure quality of FF&E and plant equipment.
- Control invoices and manage external providers’ costs.
- Collaborate with GMs to develop maintenance budgets and ensure compliance within their hotels.
- Complete and record monthly energy reports.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies to safeguard staff and guests.
- Inspect work to ensure standards and performance targets are met, taking corrective actions as directed.
- Conduct risk assessments of hotel processes and tasks.
Project Management
- Plan, manage, and coordinate projects and maintenance works, including budgeting.
- Provide reports and analysis on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Deliver small-scale projects and lifecycle works, ensuring quality and timely risk management.
Recruitment & Personnel
- Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance team members.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing, autonomous team.
- Provide technical support to teams.
- Allocate human resources appropriately within the cluster.
- Set objectives/KPIs, review performance, and report on targets.
- Implement the People Strategy within the area of accountability.
- Complete departmental performance reviews.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
- Formal qualification in Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical or relevant operational experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Outlook.
- H&S trained and able to read/write risk assessments.
- Experience in energy management, budget planning, and project management.
- Good administration skills.
