Job summary

Kinetic plc is seeking a Workshop Maintenance Manager in the Manchester area (Duckinfield) for a permanent role paying up to £60,000 per year, depending on experience. Qualifications

• Experience leading a maintenance team in a workshop/manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault diagnosis in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Ability to plan and schedule preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Project manage new installations or upgrades of equipment.
• Understand CAD software and drawing layouts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for all plant, machinery, and site services.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in a timely manner.
• Minimise plant and production downtime through rapid fault diagnosis and effective repair strategies.
• Project manage new installations and the modification or upgrade of existing equipment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, logs, and technical documentation.
• Monitor plant performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and availability.
• Lead, supervise, and develop a maintenance team of six personnel and manage external contractors.
• Allocate workloads, set priorities, and ensure maintenance activities align with production requirements.
• Support training and ongoing skills development within the maintenance team.
• Take responsibility for maintenance budgets, contractor costs, and spare parts control.
