Maintenance Manager

Are you looking to join a leading care home provider as a maintenance manager across their highly reputable care homes in Lincolnshire?

Are you passionate about standards & ensuring the safety of residents, staff & visitors alike?

My client is looking for a full time maintenance Manager for their portfolio of homes across the Lincolnshire area due to retirement. They provide care to the elderly & are looking for an established & experienced maintenance person to join the team & take on the role of supporting a team of outstanding maintenance people.

About the role:

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Dealing with all regulation & ensuring policies & procedures are adhered to across the sites
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance to support the team
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Managing the maintenance team in ensuring the regular general maintenance of the homes
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
  • Leading the team in terms of recruitment, dealing with HR issues & general line management (on hand training can be provided)
  • Using common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Ensuring the work is carried out to a high standard

About you:

  • Knowledge/Experience in general maintenance
  • Flexible working attitude
  • Team Player with experience within a care environment
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Willing to complete a DBScheck
  • A recognised trade qualification with some practical experience of working successfully in a similar maintenance/building/decorating job role
  • Willingness to learn and expand your skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised showing initiative with an awareness of health and safety requirements
