Job summary

Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill-Dudley, part of Millennium Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee a busy on-site maintenance team in Dudley.

You will plan reactive and preventative work, ensure safety compliance, coordinate painting and refurbishment, and develop strong relationships with other departments while maintaining a high standard of facilities for guests.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician and/or plumber preferred.
• Experience in hotel or large-site maintenance.
• Ability to manage a busy maintenance department.

Responsibilities

• Plan reactive and preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring readings are completed daily.
• Enforce safety regulations across the team, including COSHH and fire procedures.
• Maintain hotel areas, coordinating painting, decorating and refurbishment works.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and work independently when needed.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota as hotel needs change.

The Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill - Dudley is looking for a self-motivated, people-orientated manager to join their team of professionals - it would suit an individual who is already working in a similar maintenance role in a comparable sized single-site property.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Manager

• Planning all reactive and preventative maintenance schedule as required by internal processes. Ensuring completion of all utility readings at required times daily.
• Ensuring the whole team is working safely at ALL times, conforming to statutory and company health and safety regulations - especially with regards to fire procedures, manual handing, chemical usage and disposal of waste materials and reporting of accidents. Complying with other related regulations (e.g. COSHH)
• Managing the up-keep of hotel areas ensuring that - at all times - they are free from daily wear and tear as far as possible This includes coordinating general painting, decorating and refurbishment works as required
• You must be positive, efficient and motivated with a friendly approach and a good eye for detail and accuracy. We are looking for an individual who has the ability to develop good working relationships with other departments in the hotel, and crucially, someone who is able to communicate effectively, be customer focused and able to work independently using their initiative to manage our busy maintenance department
• A positive approach to flexible working will be expected as working patterns will be changed from time to time to meet the hotel needs i.e. participating in and coordinating the out of hours 'On Call' rota

Being fully qualified as an electrician and/or plumber and therefore legally able to complete related tasks in a competent manner is preferable
