We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations across our busy, multi-discipline manufacturing site. You’ll ensure equipment, infrastructure, and facilities operate safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where flexibility and problem-solving are key.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage planned and reactive maintenance across machinery, equipment, and buildings.
  • Maintain and improve the PPM schedule, minimising downtime and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns; support shift teams in troubleshooting and fault resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Oversee contractors and ensure legal and internal standards are met.
  • Support procurement, installation, and disposal of equipment and plant.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, including downtime, MTBF, and task completion.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lean processes, and root cause analysis.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, material usage, and supplier coordination.
  • Collaborate with departments and offer technical support where needed.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in a senior maintenance role in manufacturing, shopfitting, or similar.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance compliance and performance metrics.
  • Organised, hands-on, and comfortable managing diverse day-to-day challenges.
Qualifications
  • Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering.
  • HND/BTEC Level 5 or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working to standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Familiar with lean maintenance practices and manufacturing systems.
