Job summary

Staffbase Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Maintenance Manager (Electrical) in Croydon. You will oversee maintenance and CAPEX projects, manage a small team of engineers and external contractors, and ensure CMMS integrity and budget control.

This role requires a strong electrical bias and hands-on leadership on a heavy industry site. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in management within manufacturing, a recognised electrical qualification (HNC/degree), and IOSH/NEBOSH or similar safety

Maintenance Manager (BBBH1694) Croydon, England

Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of MaintenanceManager (Electrical).

Salary £65K - £70K Neg + Bonus

We are seeking an experienced electrical bias maintenance manager to manage & control all maintenance and CAP-ex projectsactivities at a large heavy industry processingplant near Croydon.

The Role:

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all planned & reactive maintenance activitiesand some CAPEX project work.
Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;

• Maintain and develop the existingCMMS


• Management & control of a small team of maintenance engineers and also external contractors


• Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities and engineering projects


• Effective Budget and CAPEX Project management


• Monitoring, sourcing and ordering spare and replacement parts


• Ensure adequate staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met


• Adopt a continuous improvement approach and help to deliver efficiency and cost savings where possible


• Ensure compliance with all legal and HSE requirements


• Provide \"Hands-on\" assistancewith electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance and repair of plant and machinery.

Candidate:

You will be an experienced maintenance manager / supervisor with electrical bias.
Applicants will have previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector e.g. chemical plants, plastics, metals, quarry or recycling.

You will have at least 5 years management /supervisoryexperience and you must me confident in leading a team of engineers and externalcontractors.

You will hold recognisedelectricalengineering qualificationand ideally you will be trained in health & safety management toIOSH orNEBOSH level.

You will have a recognised qualificationin electrical engineering e.g. HNC, degree or 18th edition certification and you will have good knowledge and understanding of plc systems.

We are seeking a highly organised andeffective leader who will maintain a visible presence on the shop floor.
