Job description

The role… We are currently recruiting for an excellent Maintenance Manager to join the team. As Maintenance Manager you will be confident in all basic maintenance skills including painting, decorating, electrical, joinery, and plumbing. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be an effective communicator, and possess excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. Assist in the delivery of ‘Instinct’ customer-focused maintenance management across the Harbour Hotels portfolio in close liaison with our service role benefits from standard hours of 8 to

  1. Ensure that on-site maintenance management is undertaken in accordance with policies, processes, and procedures.
  2. Regularly liaise with General Manager/Ops Manager and be the principal point of contact for advice and guidance in connection with the day-to-day maintenance of the building(s).
  3. Management of maintenance budgets and assist in the procurement of supplies and services at the property in accordance with the company policy. This will include the use of accredited Contractors only, and company purchase ordering systems. Monitor contractor performance against agreed standards.
  4. Assist the building’s ‘Social Responsible Management’ (H&S and environmental/sustainability) activities.
  5. Assist in the management of the buildings’ plant and equipment. Will be responsible for building management systems where appropriate.
  6. Assist in the implementation and supervision of minor works.
  7. Help prepare site regulations and issue permits to work for all contractor activities on site. Maintain, and test disaster planning procedures to cover all emergencies.
  8. To organise and coordinate compliance testing. Establish and maintain proper site records in accordance with best practice rules.
  9. Respond to all reactive work requirements in order of safety critical priority.
  10. Assist in the monitoring of vacant/void rooms in conjunction with company policy.
  11. Regular tours of the property to ensure all standards and H&S requirements are upheld in accordance with company policy.
