About the Company:
A well-established food manufacturing company is currently undergoing a multi-million-pound project to expand and enhance its operations. With a strong reputation in the industry, they are committed to delivering high-quality products while continuously improving their processes and facilities.

About the Role:
We're looking for a hands-on, electrically biased Maintenance Manager to lead a close-knit team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is a mix of hands-on maintenance, project work, and team development. You'll play a key part in keeping the production facility running efficiently while also driving improvements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules for electro-mechanical equipment.
  2. Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs, diagnosing faults efficiently.
  3. Plan, cost, and manage installations and project work.
  4. Maintain and update engineering records, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  5. Oversee and manage on-site contractors.
  6. Work closely with the operations team to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Ensure risk assessments and safe working procedures are in place.
  8. Manage stock control for technical spares and consumables.
  9. Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team to ensure high performance and professional growth.

About You:

  1. Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.
  2. Previous experience in leadership or supervision within an engineering team.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and external contractors.
  4. Experience within the Food or Manufacturing environments.
  5. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
