Job description

Maintenance Manager (Brierley Hill OR Bury St Edmunds)

Our Client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and manage maintenance operations within a cold storage warehouse environment. This role is pivotal to ensuring the seamless functioning of all mechanical and electrical systems in a demanding and fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, extensive experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and a track record of successfully managing teams in an industrial setting.


Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, oversee, and execute maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
  2. Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
  3. Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules using CMMS systems.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues within the warehouse.
  5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
  6. Work collaboratively with other departments to support operational goals.
  7. Oversee procurement and inventory management for spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  8. Monitor performance metrics to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager in a similar industrial or warehouse environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  3. Experience with cold storage facilities is highly desirable.
