Rare opportunity for a Maintenance Manager Mechanical based at a large manufacturing site in North Birmingham. Great salary, benefits and prospects. Monday to Friday 8.00 - 4.30.

This site is part of a global recycling / packaging manufacturing group. The Maintenance Team Manager will lead the engineers to become high performing, delivering exceptional performance in line with the company vision and values. This will be achieved through a process of involvement, performance management and direct personal influence resulting in outstanding results through your team.

Relentlessly improve the processes, equipment and current working practices in order to provide consistent and effective maintenance programmes ensuring maximum production uptime, delivered in a safe and professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience for Maintenance Manager Mechanical;

Essential

• HNC/HND minimum engineering qualification
• Mechanical Engineering experience in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
• Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking to improve manufacturing reliability.
• Ability to demonstrate in depth mechanical engineering knowledge appropriate to the mill

Desirable

• Apprentice trained.
• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in leading and developing a team.
• Experience of Lean Six Sigma improvement.
• Contractor control and management.
• Budget management and cost control.
