This is a key role where your expertise in preventative maintenance and condition monitoring will ensure operational excellence across the site.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment runs efficiently, reliably, and safely, while building a proactive maintenance culture that focuses on prevention rather than reaction.

  • Lead, develop, and motivate the maintenance team to deliver high performance and technical excellence.
  • Plan and implement robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs across spray equipment, conveyor systems, curing ovens, compressors, and associated utilities.
  • Minimise unplanned downtime and ensure rapid response to breakdowns.
  • Manage work allocation, training requirements, spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Utilise modern maintenance best practice including condition monitoring, TPM, and CMMS outputs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring equipment issues and drive permanent solutions.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve reliability, asset life, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, PUWER, LOLER, and other UK regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and statutory compliance.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, including labour, spares, and contractor costs.
  • Provide regular reports on downtime, KPIs, and equipment performance.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Report equipment performance and potential capex investment opportunities to the Directors.
Maintenance Manager Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Proven track record in maintenance management within a complex, process-driven industry.
  • Time-served apprenticeship or HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Hands-on expertise with industrial equipment such as spray coating systems, conveyors, curing ovens, and compressors.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and condition monitoring techniques (e.g., vibration analysis).
  • Experienced in managing, coaching, and motivating maintenance teams.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent planning, project management, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles is desirable.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

An immediate start is available for the successful candidate. If the above role sounds perfect for you, or you require more information, please apply.
