Job summary

A service company in Beeston is looking for a maintenance worker to assist with various FM contracts. Job description

Main Purpose

To support their line manager and team members in delivering FM contracts effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Replacing light tubes and emergency light batteries.
  2. Performing minor slab and paving repairs.
  3. Replacing digital locks, door closers, and door furniture.
  4. Conducting visual inspections of fire doors.
  5. Carrying out weekly fire alarm activations and assisting with site evacuations.
  6. Maintaining compliance books for FES on site, including completing checklists and documents.
  7. Using a PDA to close down work orders within SLA.
  8. Planning minor works, including access and time span.
  9. Performing minor building repairs, including painting.
  10. Winter maintenance, gritting, and snow clearance as per plan.
  11. Replacing site stock and ordering materials.
  12. Installing shelves and noticeboards.
  13. Conducting water hygiene checks, including run-offs and temperature checks.
  14. Unblocking basins and toilets, with photographic evidence.
  15. Changing taps and performing minor plumbing repairs.
  16. Monitoring subcontractors, including inductions.
  17. Maintaining site housekeeping.
  18. Dealing with floods and spillages.
  19. Assisting with material offloading and movement.
  20. Carrying out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Good GCSE-level education or equivalent.
  • Maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital environment.
