Main Purpose
To support their line manager and team members in delivering FM contracts effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Replacing light tubes and emergency light batteries.
- Performing minor slab and paving repairs.
- Replacing digital locks, door closers, and door furniture.
- Conducting visual inspections of fire doors.
- Carrying out weekly fire alarm activations and assisting with site evacuations.
- Maintaining compliance books for FES on site, including completing checklists and documents.
- Using a PDA to close down work orders within SLA.
- Planning minor works, including access and time span.
- Performing minor building repairs, including painting.
- Winter maintenance, gritting, and snow clearance as per plan.
- Replacing site stock and ordering materials.
- Installing shelves and noticeboards.
- Conducting water hygiene checks, including run-offs and temperature checks.
- Unblocking basins and toilets, with photographic evidence.
- Changing taps and performing minor plumbing repairs.
- Monitoring subcontractors, including inductions.
- Maintaining site housekeeping.
- Dealing with floods and spillages.
- Assisting with material offloading and movement.
- Carrying out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge
- Good GCSE-level education or equivalent.
- Maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

- Essential attributes: Punctuality, engineering qualifications, articulate, local resident, knowledge of engineering practices, full UK driving license, recent relevant experience.
