We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager based at our Andover site, with a 5-day onsite working model. The Maintenance Manager will facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the engineering function, helping the team meet business demands and production targets, while continually striving to reduce costs and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

People (Build Our Talent)

  • Encourage contribution and consider others' views.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Persuade and influence others to gain support and overcome barriers.

Operations (Deliver, Better, Simpler and Cheaper)

  • Work with senior leadership to ensure operational excellence.
  • Lead and motivate the manufacturing team, ensuring compliance, holiday cover, and succession planning.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels and share business goals and KPIs.
  • Proactively address downtime, inefficiencies, and quality issues.
  • Promote health and safety standards and ensure compliance with food safety principles.
  • Ensure SOPs are written, signed off, and compliant with HSE requirements.
  • Manage maintenance schedules, spares inventory, and plant productivity.
  • Control departmental budget and monitor expenses.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
  • Ensure all engineering activities meet statutory health and safety standards.
  • Manage engineering personnel and resources, including training and mentoring.
  • Participate in site management meetings and support operational excellence initiatives.

Customer (Grow sales, Innovate and Be Different)

  • Maintain high standards and seek continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports for senior leadership.

Environment (Be Responsible and Reduce our Carbon Footprint)

  • Support projects aimed at waste reduction and sustainability.

Quality & Food Safety

  • Encourage staff to report quality and food safety issues promptly.
  • Support internal and external audits, maintaining audit readiness.
  • Sign and review the Andover Quality and Food Safety Contract annually.
